In deze aflevering hoor je de finale van de Pitchwedstrijd, die plaatsvond in de Tolhuistuin in Amsterdam. De pitchwedstrijd werd dit jaar mede mogelijk werd gemaakt door de productiehuizen Dag en Nacht Media, Topcast media en Dipsaus, en door Zoom van de audio hardware. Iedereen met een goed idee mocht een pitch insturen in de categorieën verhalend/journalistiek, fictie of talkshow. Dat deden meer dan 50 mensen! De productiehuizen kozen ieder drie finalisten uit de inzendingen. Het Podcastfestival 2021 is een initiatief van het Podcastnetwerk en wordt mede mogelijk gemaakt door het Stimuleringsfonds voor de Creatieve Industrie, Fonds 21, het Prins Bernhard Cultuurfonds, the European Cultural Foundation, Het Nederlands Letterenfonds, Gemeente Nijmegen, Gemeente Utrecht, Gemeente Groningen en het Internationaal Bezoekersprogramma van Het Nieuwe Instituut. Het programma wordt gepresenteerd in samenwerking met PodGront, Forum Groningen, Tolhuistuin, Are We Europe, De Nieuwe Oost //Wintertuin en het International Literature Festival Utrecht (ILFU)
