Pocono Mountains Magazine - July 2025

This month on Pocono Mountains Magazine: go beyond the beach at Beltzville State Park as Jim Hamill explores the trails and falls plus meets some friends who love and care for the park. Join Deanna Fontanez and Mila as they dive into a day of sun, slides, and fun during their first-ever visit to Camelbeach. Board the new train at Kalahari Resorts and Conventions which takes guests from the indoor waterpark to outdoor, seasonal fun at Gorilla Grove Treetop Adventures.

Summer is here! The Poconos welcomed NASCAR Race Weekend at the Tricky Triangle as well as Governor Shapiro, who spent his birthday at Lake Wallenpaupack. From the lake to the river, hear from families who love to sojourn along the Delaware, another beloved Poconos waterway. Brianna Strunk and her son, Raynor, take a tour of Paradise Lavender Farm, open seasonally in Cresco. The farm features rows of lavender available for cut-your-own, a gift shop, and a unique Fairy Forest where kids (and kids at heart) will experience the magic of make-believe.Uncover fun facts and get inspired by stepping into the past at Grey Towers National Historic Site in Milford, a stop along the Pocono History and Art Trail. Did you know you can stay and play at Pohopoco Creek Alpacas? Enjoy pre-booked interactions with the alpacas, visit the farm store, and book an overnight stay at the sprawling manor on-site.

Now in its sixth year, the Pocono Community Caring Company (Pocono 3C) has made a significant impact on both the anti-litter effort across the Poconos and local people who face homelessness. The program has helped 22 individuals, including Elisha Spencer, to find work and housing. Finally, listen to great music in a new Pocono Showcase segment with Erin Kelly, a country artist from the Lehigh Valley.
