On episode 37 of the Platform to Perform Podcast I spoke to author of Strength and Conditioning for Endurance Runners, Dr Richard Blagrove. Richard’s work has heavily influenced my thought processes when working with athletes whose sports involve tolerating repeated impacts of the foot and ankle, as we discussed:

· Richard’s thoughts on screening running based athletes from the ground up

· How Richard would apply his capacity-strength-rate of activation model to an endurance runner v a court or field-based athlete

· The underpinning factors of running performance and how strength and conditioning can be used to improve these
