S3E4 | What to do when you get ripped off

No one likes getting ripped off, but what do you do when you get ripped off? There are many options out there: you can resort to violence (I do not recommend), legal routes (can be costly), or good ole negotiations. Whatever route you take, will depend on your situation. With 7 billion people in this world, and counting, there will always be someone trying to rip your idea off of you, especially if you're leading the market.

.

I've seen people rip off or scam others and I've been ripped off by some previous homeowners. The best way to handle issues like this is to implement good business practices. Try to be understanding, see if there's some sort of resolution both parties can agree on. If needed, you may want to proceed with legal action. Most small businesses can afford to shell out the capital needed to fund that journey, but maybe you can negotiate and come to agreeable terms.

.

Whatever you choose - be smart, be understanding, and if you have any questions, let me know in the comments and I'd be happy to help! . . Listen to the podcast on-the-go: https://spotifyanchor-web.app.link/e/gxSLuIa8Gxb . . . A Little About Me: I am an Indiana native who migrated down to Central Florida. I started my career in Corporate America, but wanted more for myself and my family. I quickly found success in Roofing, specially, Tile Roofs. I moved to Costa Rica for five years and continued my entrepreneurial journey there with Real Estate Development. Those five years taught me the ins and outs of clay tile and have been specializing in Tile for over 35 years! I came back to America and now sit on the board for the Florida Building Code for Roofing. I'm also a member of the Florida's Roofing and Sheet Metal Contractors Association (FRSA). As I continue with my roofing business, I thoroughly enjoy helping and mentoring other entrepreneurs, guiding them to success! . . Say hello with the links below!
