
Laura and I worked together way back when I first moved to Austin over 11 years ago.
She was a freaking blast to work with, and was always someone who I couldn’t help but to root for.
I watched her get hired at Oracle, move from BDR to AE, AE to Sales Manager, and then go work at Salesforce as an AE.
She went through a debilitating burnout triggered by a loss in her family that led to her leaving sales without a plan.
After more tough times, she found her way into Sales Ops and now helps other sales reps make that same career transition.
I asked her what types of sales reps would make a good fit for Sales Ops, and what they can start doing now to prepare for that transition.
