Almost eight years after the launch of its problem-plagued Phoenix pay system, the Canadian government announced some good news: it has been testing a new HR and pay platform with promising early results. Implementing the proposed Dayforce system would require simplifying pay rules and doing more testing. But as the government prepares for a years-long transition, public servants want to know: When will their pay issues be resolved? And who will be held responsible for the Phoenix disaster?
