Philosophical Entertainment is a concept coined by Alan Watts, who referred to himself as a Philosophical Entertainer. Through listening to Watts, we decided to take up the mantra of making philosophy entertaining again!

Science only studies the usual, which is why our objective has been to take uncommon topics (the more taboo the better) and dive into why it makes us uncomfortable. As we settle into our fears, we find that it is what lies behind the heebie jeebies that has us scared; it is death that has us frightened. That being the case, we want to explore death and find out why we feel so unsettled with our own mortality.

Affirmations - I Am the One I’ve Been Waiting For
If you’re not philosophically entertained, our entertainment is only philosophical.

Season 4, Episode 14: Affirmations – I Am the One I’ve Been Waiting For
Episode Overview
💗 Self-Love & Inner Acceptance

I am worthy of my own love and attention.

I am not too much — and I never have been.

I don’t need to be perfect to be deeply lovable.

I accept all versions of myself with compassion.

I am allowed to take up space — exactly as I am.

I speak to myself with kindness, not criticism.

My flaws are not flaws — they are fingerprints of my humanity.

I hold myself in grace, even when I fall.

I am learning to love myself louder than my doubt ever could.

👶🏽 Inner Child & Regaining Innocence

My inner child is still here, still waiting to play.

I reclaim the joy that once came so easily.

I am safe to be soft, curious, and imaginative.

I don’t have to grow out of wonder — I can grow into it.

I treat my inner child as sacred, not silly.

Every giggle, every sparkle, every question is still inside me.

I protect the part of me that still believes in magic.

I return to innocence without shame.

I don’t have to harden to be strong.

✨ Shedding Jaded Narratives

I release the stories that were never mine to carry.

Just because I’ve been hurt doesn’t mean I have to live in pain.

Cynicism is not wisdom — it’s a wound.

I am allowed to believe in goodness again.

I let go of needing to be on guard.

I trust myself to heal — and I let joy in again.

The world hasn’t changed as much as I have forgotten how to see it.

I open myself to wonder without fear of being fooled.

Every day is a chance to believe in something better.

🌞 Inner Joy & Emotional Radiance

Joy is my birthright — not a reward I have to earn.

I am allowed to feel good without guilt.

My joy needs no justification.

I let myself laugh without explanation.

I find delight in the simplest things.

I create moments of joy just by being present.

When I smile, I give the world permission to smile too.

I am a source of light — to myself and others.

🌈 Wholehearted Being & Healing Presence

I no longer abandon myself to belong to others.

I am exactly who I need to be in this moment.

I carry both innocence and wisdom — and they coexist peacefully.

I am the one I’ve been waiting for.
