
Tuberculosis is a chronic granulomatous disease and a major health problem in developing countries. About one third of the world population is infected with Mycobacterium tuberculosis and about one tenth of them develop tuberculosis. In India the Revised National Tuberculosis Program and subsequent revision of treatment regimens were implemented and are successful in combating the disease. This audio gives a clear and simple explanation of pharmacology of antitubercular drugs with their specific use adverse effects and the drug regimens followed.
