It’s a thing as rare as spice melange when the Gomers call their shot and put a brand new movie on the Perfect Movie main feed. But their combined love for the first one, the stellar cast, the land- and sound-scapes, and the fact that Denis Villeneuve has yet to let them down made Dune Part Two a safe bet. Did it pay off? This is a pivot, but not that far: it’s our first Sandler, and we’ve decided to cover his second movie, a personal favorite of both Gomers. We talk 90-minute 90s comedies, the proper balance between jokes and plot, Anthony’s golden jacket epiphany, and probably too much Billy Madison since that’s what we pivoted away from.
