Dedicated to changing the future of male pelvic pain for the better. We aim to be THE go to resource for male pelvic pain conditions including Chronic Pelvic Pain Syndrome and Chronic Prostatitis Tim is a pain specialist physiotherapist and pain educator living in Tunbridge Wells, UK with a Masters in Pain: Science and Society from Longs College London. He specialises in the treatment of complex and persistent pain states, working with a small caseload of patients, providing individually tailored treatment and support, and offering hope for people who’ve been suffering and whose lives have become limited through their pain experience. He teaches postgraduate courses and is a visiting lecturer specialising in the delivery of pain education. He’s been teaching with globally recognised Noigroup since 2006 during which he has co-authored the Graded Motor Imagery Handbook, alongside David Butler and Lorimer Moseley. Tim co-founded Le Pub Scientifique, a unique learning platform connecting people interested in pain to the latest science and the world leading experts on pain, providing events and resources on a variety of pain related topics. He is also co-founder of Pelvic Pain Matters, a group dedicated to improving the lives of men suffering pelvic pain. Tim splits his time between his clinical role treating people experiencing persistent pain and helping to offer hope for recovery; teaching and mentoring healthcare professionals interested in growing as clinicians; and organising and running pain-related events. Karl Monahan is a sports and advanced clinical massage therapist with extensive training in abdominal and pelvic health. He qualified as a sports massage therapist in 2001 and has continually expanded his knowledge base in sports injuries, functional and therapeutic movement, pain management, stress management and pelvic health ever since. He has successfully been treating Chronic Prostatitis (CP) and Chronic Pelvic Pain Syndrome (CPPS) patients since 2009. Having suffered with Acute and then Chronic Pelvic Pain Syndrome (CPPS) from epididymitis and orchitis in his mid 20’s he knows much of what many of the patients he treats are going through. His empathetic, caring approach is central to his successful career in mens health Working amongst the UK’s leading Men’s Health and Prostate specialists on Wimpole St was the start of Karl’s journey in changing the future for all male pelvic pain sufferers. As a qualified teacher Karl loves to impart knowledge. His approach is to inform patients why they are experiencing their symptoms, how to manage them and how to understand flare ups. However, in the fight against male pelvic pain it is important to educate those that work in and around mens health too.
