Beyond Bypass: Trauma, Truth, and the Sacred Struggle for Peace -- A Conversation with Sami Awad

What does it mean to activate peace from within — while living through occupation, violence, and global disconnection?

In this profound and deeply honest episode, host Eva Dalak is joined by Sami Awad, Palestinian peace activist, author, and Co-Director of Nonviolence International. Based in Bethlehem, Palestine, Sami is a globally respected advocate for nonviolent resistance, known for his work building a future grounded in equality, human rights, and healing.

Sami is the founder of Holy Land Trust, established in 1995 to advance Palestinian justice through nonviolence. At Nonviolence International, he leads global programs focused on training, trauma resilience, and leadership development. A graduate of American University’s School of International Service, Sami has spent decades teaching and embodying the power of sacred activism.

Together, Eva and Sami explore the intersection of inner transformation and political resistance — inviting listeners into a deeper reckoning with fear, grief, and the collective trauma we must face to make peace possible.

This episode flows through powerful themes, including:

᯽ The Myth of Inner Peace Without Outer Engagement – Confronting injustice with grounded presence

᯽ The Role of Collective Trauma – How unhealed pain fuels cycles of violence

᯽ Sacred Activism and the Inner Journey – Why real peace requires deep inner work

᯽  Peace as Resistance – Challenging systems built on supremacy, fear, and denial

᯽  Dismantling Illusions – Beyond the facades of diplomacy and false reconciliation

᯽ The Prisoner Mindset – Internalized oppression and the call to unity

᯽  Reclaiming Christ Consciousness – Spiritual awakening as a path to global justice

᯽  The Great Awakening – Moving from manipulation and separation toward collective liberation

This episode is more than a dialogue — it’s a call to action rooted in integrity, compassion, and courageous truth.
