Welcome to the Peace History Podcast!

Today is 12 October 2025. Did you know that the 12th of October is celebrated each year as Freethought Day? This day honors the value of independent thinking, and today, we’re excited to take you on a journey beyond just words. Our guest today is Maria Kyveli Mavrokordopoulou from the Vrije Universiteit (VU) in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, who is passionate about how peace movements expressed themselves through art exhibitions.

One of her remarkable projects is the “Atomic Age” exhibition at the Musée d’Art Moderne de Paris, which was on display from 11 October 2024 to 9 February 2025, and we as a team were able to visit last fall.
