This episode of Parting is a little shorter than usual; that's because we wanted to focus in on one topic in particular...memory. When we talk about grief it's usually about things that have happened in the past, but sometimes we can grieve over the present. Dementia is a disease that affects memory, and losing memory can sometimes be harder than losing someone.
We will speak to Lyn, a psychology professor, about how we can understand dementia and improve the quality of life with this disease. Later, we will continue "The Unteachables" (Part Two) storyline as a year 9 student and his Nan consider life without trees.
Advisory- This episode contains some swear words and some of them are unbeeped. If you prefer a fully beeped version send us a message and we can make one for you.
