#20 Skinwalker Ranch Part 1: The Sherman Family’s 18-Month Nightmare

In this first part of our two-part deep dive, Paranormal Directive 13 explores the chilling origins and terrifying early years of Skinwalker Ranch, the most infamous paranormal hotspot in the United States.

Long before the world knew its name, the Ute and Navajo people spoke of curses, skinwalkers, and dark entities that stalked the land. But for Terry and Gwen Sherman, who moved their family onto the ranch in the mid-1990s, those old stories became a brutal reality.

What began with the appearance of a massive, bulletproof wolf trying to drag off their calf turned into an unrelenting 18-month siege of the bizarre. The Shermans reported UFOs that opened glowing portals in the sky, disembodied voices speaking from nowhere, cryptid-like creatures stalking their fields, and cattle mutilations so precise they seemed surgical. Tools vanished and reappeared in impossible places, groceries unpacked themselves, and a terrifying blue orb lured their dogs to their deaths.

By the time the Shermans went public, they had lost livestock, money, and their peace of mind. Leaving behind one of the most detailed and disturbing accounts of sustained paranormal activity ever recorded.

🔍 In this episode, we cover:

  • The Ute and Navajo legends that shaped the land’s haunted reputation
  • The Sherman family’s first encounter with the indestructible wolf
  • UFO sightings, glowing orbs, and portals in the sky
  • Cattle mutilations and livestock vanishings
  • Disembodied voices, poltergeist activity, and terrifying home invasions by the unknown
  • The heartbreaking night when the blue orb killed their dogs

This is the story of a family who thought they were buying a ranch… and instead found themselves living in a nightmare.
