Val Cochrane qualified as a paramedic in 1999 with Greater Manchester Ambulance Service, after working as a technician for three years. Outside of her work as a Community Paramedic for NWAS, Val has volunteered as a medic for the Isle of Mann TT, and as medical officer for Glossop Mountain Rescue Team. Last August, Val went to Ukraine with a humanitarian charity, UK-Med.
In this episode we discuss Val's career, her work as a motorsport medic, and the three months she spent in Ukraine.
