
Steve Bell joined the ambulance service in 2000 and became a registered paramedic in 2003 after working as an EMT. In 2010 he was appointed amongst the first cohort of Advanced Paramedics in his Trust and in the country. In 2015 Steve joined HEMS, working for North West Air Ambulance as a HEMS Paramedic.
In 2018 Steve was appointed as the Consultant Paramedic in the Medical Directorate within NWAS. He was also appointed to the role of Consultant HEMS Paramedic with NWAA in 2018.
Steve maintains an active portfolio of clinical work, principally within the HEMS environment and working as part of the enhanced critical care team in the region. Steve leads research and development within NWAS, guiding the direction of pre-hospital research studies.
