It came as a shock. I still wish that this is a mistake or a misunderstanding... Andrew came in to do our 3rd episode, when we had no following and nobody really cared about this project. He loved the concept. A bit shy at first, but then all of the stories started pouring out. I could listen to them for the entire day, really. Some of them are in this recording. I have taken out my hour, and the old jingles I used to use. Listening back to this brings a lot of memories, and the music he played is definitely timeless. Writing is not my specialty, and I did not know Andrew that well to be honest, to put together a long text about him. I do, however, have this recording of him going through, what he thought at the time, his biggest musical influences. A short autobiography, narrated and soundtracked. I wanted there to be nothing else but him. He left three records when leaving the studio. We spoke about trying to arrange a meeting for me to bring them, as well as take a few of his pictures using an old soviet Liubitel camera, which he thought looked great when he saw it. But either he was away, busy, or we did not have the film for the camera or time to do it. I am sorry that I never gave the records back, and also sorry that we did not take any pictures, which you really wanted. At times like these you wish there was a world beyond our own, but you can't really know. If none of us ever see you again, at least we have something to remember you from.
