Papi Wata's Grotto Podcast merges African spirituality, psychology, history, culture, current events, the "occult" & creativity together to present a fresh and unique take on wholesome living. Presented from the Odinani (Igbo Spirituality) perspective, this podcast explores ways we can use Ancestral wisdom & spiritual connection to bridge the "gap" between the metaphysical and mundane in the modern era. Join our host Papi Wata- an Odinani spiritualist (dibia maybe?), psychic, medium, healer, creative, witch, and Water Spirit- as we discuss Ancestors, Spirits, magic, merfolk, Blackness & life!

Amosu vs. Dibia: Deconstructing Witches

IT'S SPOOKY SZN!!!!!

For this year's spooky season, I'm deciding to be a bit more festive and to have a theme for the "Papi Wata's Grotto Podcast (and Patreon), and this year's theme is (drum roll please)......"The Occult: Deconstructing The Dark".

Throughout this series, I will be discussing the dark side of spirituality and will be demystifying, decolonizing and shedding some much needed light on certain occult topics.

We are definitely definitely going to get *spicy* here and also a little bit controversial controversial and "taboo", but I wouldn't have it any other way tbh.

To kick off this season, we will be taking a look at the Igbo concept of Amosu (aka Witches). In this episode I will answer what an Amosu (witch) is, why a person is born one, what is the nature of witchcraft, and what is the relationship between Amosu and Dibia (spiritual doctors).

This is an episode you WON'T want to miss, and of course if you want the full tea...you'll have to head on over to the "Papi Wata's Grotto Patreon" for that.

Also, be sure to participate in the rest of the things I have planned for this spooky season because we are going to have a time!
