The Magic School Bus meets Reading Rainbow in this wacky library show for kids ages four to ten! In each episode, a different kid saves the day by exploring their interests, discovering new books, and talking to experts. Hosted by two Brooklyn Public Library children’s librarians, the show is designed to encourage a love of reading, increase kids’ confidence and introduce young listeners to the world of work … with lots of great songs and funny jokes, of course!  Visit our web page for transcripts, book lists, and program templates for educators: https://www.bklynlibrary.org/podcasts/page-flippers  Page Flippers Take on the World is brought to you by Brooklyn Public Library. Bonus: Learn to be a Spy (an excerpt for library and classroom programs)
Learn how to pass a secret message in an egg shell! Or, use your power of observation to pretend to be a spy… If you’re an educator, you can use our podcast in your library or classroom. We’ve created two programs that can be adapted to any setting, as well as this short excerpt from our first episode, “Melina, the Spy & the Secret Code,” which you can play during the program. For school-age listeners, check out this related program: https://www.bklynlibrary.org/sites/default/files/documents/Spycraft School Age Program.pdf For younger listeners, we’ve created this story time program: https://www.bklynlibrary.org/sites/default/files/documents/Spycraft Story Time Program.pdf
