Aly is the founder and creator behind the Untrend Shop, which offers upcycled denim clothing and chain stitch embroidery. Her story is another example of being in the right place at the right time. She attended college to learn the ins and outs of being a fashion designer. After completing her degree at the University of Wisconsin, her journey continued at FIT in New York. Feeling at home in New York, she hasn't left since arriving. We discuss the jobs she worked after college, how she launched her company, and how chainstitch became part of the picture.
