Yax is a techno DJ based in Adelaide, Australia, with a decade of experience behind the decks. His sound draws inspiration from the deep, groovy, hypnotic techno of the '90s and early '00s, fused with a contemporary edge. Influenced by artists like DVS1, Donato Dozzy, and Jeff Mills, Yax crafts sets that emphasize tension, groove, and long-form storytelling.
In 2021, he launched Yax Invites — a podcast dedicated to showcasing underground techno talent from around the world. Now surpassing 200 episodes, the series laid the foundation for him to begin promoting his own events: starting with an outdoor rave in 2023, followed by a string of techno nights called Paranoia at Sugar Nightclub. Notable international guests have included Decoder (US) and Carmen Electro (DE).
