This month we will host an Outbeat Extra edition of Outbeat News In Depth featuring a tribute to Ted Olson, one of the two attorneys who took on Proposition 8 and restored marriage equality here in California. Mr. Olson passed away in November. We will air an interview we did with him in 2014 along with his colleague David Boise. Join us at 8PM on December 29, 2024, only on KRCB Radio.
Ted Olson and David Boise lead the legal fight to defeat Proposition 8, passed by voters in 2008, that limited marriage to one man and one woman. A federal court order restored marriage equality to California in 2023. California voters removed Proposition 8’s discriminatory language from the California Constitution in 2024.
