Jennifer Thomas is a Breast and Uterine Cancer Survivor, Advocate, Single Mother, and Deputy Case Management Coordinator with the Federal Bureau of Prisons. She is also the Here for The Girls, Inc. 2020 Calendar Ambassador for the month of July. Jennifer shares her story of being diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer at the age of 38 while going through a divorce and working in the prison system. With the support of her family and friends, she faced the disease as a single mother working a full-time job. Jennifer also explains that she is among the 2% of patients who developed uterine cancer from tamoxifen. Despite facing cancer twice, she has become more resilient, seeks the positive in all things, and continues to allow herself to evolve.
