Serjey Andre Kul is a Seattle-based Trance and House DJ and the Producer of a weekly podcast, ”My Passion is Trance,” and co-founder of ”Our Passion is Trance & Friends. He is also a resident DJ on ”The DJ Sessions” and a resident DJ for In Motion Productions.
Serjey Andre Kul was born in Minsk, the capital of Belarus. His passion for music developed at a very young age, with his father introducing him to the earliest electronic music from the ‘80s & 90‘s such as Duran Duran and Depeche Mode. By the age of six, Serjey began to record music to cassette from radio stations, which was the beginning of his mixtapes and mixes!
In the 2000s, he moved to Seattle, Washington, at a very young age, where he was introduced to Trance music through Seattle‘s #1 Trance show titled ”Nocturnal Transmission with DJ Tamm” on the local dance radio station C89.5fm. He immediately fell in love with this genre of music and knew Trance was the music for him.
His passion for Trance was so strong that he wanted to introduce this music to others and decided to do that best as a DJ. So he began teaching himself to mix, and after countless hours of hard work learning this new trade, Serjey successfully compiled his first weekly mix show, ”A Trip in Trance,” which aired in 2008 on Trance. FM radio. Later he founded ”My Passion is Trance” and ”Our Passion is Trance & Friends” to continue to promote the music he loves. His mix shows are now being broadcast on iTunes, Mixcloud, Podbean, Amazon, Audible, iHeartRadio, and other sites.
His Radio shows began to get attention, and he was asked to start playing as a resident on ”The DJ Sessions” for iTVNW, also known as TDJS, an internet show that showcases the best local and international DJs. He has been a resident on the show for 4+ years. Being a resident for TDJS, he has now appeared on the new Twitch Featured Partner series ”The DJ Sessions” over 40 times in the last four years while rotating between other local and internationally recognized DJs.
Recently, Serjey joined a local promotion company specializing in Trance and Progressive House music called ”In Motion Productions.” In Motion has worked with multiple clubs in the Seattle and Oregon area and brought some of the top names in the industry, such as Markus Schulz, Ferry Corsten, Roger Shah, and Gabriel & Dresden. In Motion has thrown and promoted multiple shows every week, and Serjey is a rising talent amongst their resident DJs. Additionally, Serjey has played as direct support or opened for shows featuring headliners such as Binary Finary, Talla 2XLC, Ashley Wallbridge, Darude, Neelix, Mark Sherry, Indecent Noise, Amir Hussain, and Super8 & Tab, to name a few.
He believes that‘s his purpose is to share music and spread happiness to everyone.
