Doug from Public Education-Fire

Doug Sinclair is the Public Education Coordinator for Fire within the Fire Paramedic Service. He started his career with the City 27 years ago as a firefighter. Eight years ago he was introduced to the world of public education and hasn’t looked back. It's the best of both worlds. He works with his firefighter colleagues and connects with different groups around the city. There are many programs that take Doug and his team out into the community. He highlights After the Fire, SAFE Families, and the Fire Safety House. While we recognize Fire Prevention Week in October, Doug encourages everyone to be vigilant throughout the year. His key message: Smoke alarms save lives.

This podcast is recorded in Treaty One Territory, the home and traditional lands of the Anishinaabe, Ininew, and Dakota peoples, and in the National Homeland of the Red River Métis. We acknowledge that our drinking water comes from Shoal Lake 40 First Nation, in Treaty Three Territory.
