Episode 2.2 - "Band Buildings"
This episode of One More Time talks about band buildings, what makes them unique, and the people behind them. Scott Schwartz (Director of the Sousa Archive and Center for American Music) shares some of the unique places the Sousa band performed. Dr. Michael Weiss-Holmes of the Chicago College of the Performing Arts provides a two-minute technique. Our main story looks at several of the band buildings around the country and what makes them special. A special thank you to Prof. Dave Woodley of Indiana University, Prof. Randall Coleman of the University of Alabama, Prof. Barry L. Houser of the University of Illinois, and Dr. Timothy T. Anderson of the University of Massachusetts at Amherst for sharing their stories.
