Ahoy Ahoy and we're back boppers! After a nearly year-long wait, you're favorite podcast about reviewing one-hit wonder albums is back in "One-Hit Wonder Why?"
In episode 10 we're looking at the year in music of 1983 and how it was a turning-point in the way people consume music, mainly in MTV and the different genres and artists that were born out of this era.
We'll then take a look at today's artist in reggae superstar Eddy Grant and his 1983 hit "Electric Avenue." We'll break down the song, why it still stands the test of time to this day and why we still can't stop rocking down to this bop classic! We'll look at other songs like "Electric Avenue" that have uptempo beats with heavier lyrics attached to them and dissect why these songs are awesome!
