Under the lights in Norman, the Oklahoma Sooners added an awesome chapter to their 2025 storybook. Quarterback John Mateer marched his team down the field on a fearless opening drive, then spent the rest of the night proving he just might be college football’s next superstar. The OU defense swarmed Michigan’s prized freshman Bryce Underwood like a pack of superheroes, and outside of one long sprint by Justice Haynes, the Wolverines couldn’t find daylight. With the offensive line standing tall and Mateer grinning through it all, the Sooners slammed the door with a 16-play drive that drained the clock and the hope out of Michigan.
