Allan Aunapu was 1st Captain of the sloop Clearwater, which ran up and down the Hudson River with its message of environmental grassroots action through hands-on learning, music and celebration. Launched in 1969 it is recognized today as America’s Environmental Flagship.

As a singer/songwriter, Allan picked up songs in a sailing career throughout the caribbean, Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. he was a wonderful advocate for fun, laughter and ecology!
