As we delve deeper into our pride issues, sometimes a stronghold is revealed. These are areas Satan is able to repeatedly activate to get us to act in our flesh, falling into one of the ditches of pride. These strongholds typically are developed early in life and become more difficult to break down the longer we agree with, and operate in, them but the Lord is faithful. As we bring our sin patterns and cycles to Him, He will pull back the layers to not only reveal these strongholds, but help us to demolish them!

The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. 2 Corinthians 10:4-5
