Two artists from Western Massachusetts have left marks on their respective communities. Porsh Bet$ waits tables at a local Chinese restaurant to support his 2-year-old daughter while Taija New made a name for herself by going toe-to-toe with male rappers in her native Springfield. Both achieved incredible milestones this year. Porsh released his third EP and New submitted her work for a Grammy nomination for the first time ever. Two artists with two stories, but one goal: to put their hometowns on the map.
