Tj Rehmi is a critically acclaimed artist known for his creative and innovative approach to composition and production work. In this episode, Satnam delves into his influences as a guitarist, composer and producer. They talk about Tj's experiments with technology and Asian sounds which were to become an integral part of the ‘Asian Underground’ movement.
During the early ‘80s, Rehmi studied and played guitar with local funk, rock, and reggae bands, before joining Andy Hamilton’s jazz band as a rhythm guitarist. He later explored the burgeoning Bhangra scene as a session player and designed and built his own studio space which developed into a music production hub, aka the MoodLab Studio. His latest album Eight Grains of Sand is to be released this year.
