Marcus Knight is a content creator and motivational speaker who uses his platform to speak up about social justice issues and the importance of storytelling. In the future, Marcus plans to release a book about how to be an ally in social justice. The name of the book is still To Be Determined as of now. He also has a podcast coming up called The Round Table which will be revealed at a later date. Check out the conversation to know how Marcus came up with the podcast name!
Marcus grew up in a musical household. Because of this, he was singing quite often whether at church or school. When he was in middle school and high school, he was involved in musical theatre. Because of his experiences in music, worship, and creativity, these three things have been important to Marcus’ identity. These three things have helped Marcus enter new areas such as motivational speaking. Recently, Marcus got to deliver a TedX talk about the importance of storytelling and how it can help humans relate to one another. Marcus has also been involved in activism and has cited early experiences helping people as reasons to why he advocates for people who feel underrepresented. Marcus’ experience in advocacy and in particular the social justice protests in 2020, inspired him to write a book (releasing late 2024 or 2025) about how to be an ally in fighting for justice and representation. Later this year, Marcus will start a podcast where he and other guests will discuss topics that are affecting Gen-Z with the hope of understanding people’s point of view. With negativity frequently being present, Marcus hopes to inspire people through his optimism.
