We thank God for His protection over us throughout the year 2024, we thank God because as God was with us last year He has started being with us again this new year 2025, may God's name be praised. Last year God was out teacher and the word of God is the lamp to our feet and light to our path that led us through so we don't make mistakes, this year again, God has started to teach us so we don't dash out foot against stones this year. The first teaching of God for us this year is, we should be willing to lose it all for Christ sake this year. Don't hold on to anything so much that you will choose that thing and leave God or you will forsake the fear of God. There is nothing we can possess in this world that worth losing God or losing our soul for. In fact, God is telling us that even when we choose to lose anything because of God, we won't lose it eventually because God will restore back to us better than what we lost. God is saying He will never leave us in the difficult times that we find ourselves because we chose to lose anything for Christ sake, God will be right there with us to comfort us, to assure us of His promises to turn difficulty to greatness and we will see Him doing it in our lives. When you choose worldly goodness against the fear of God and you eventually run into problems, God will not be there to save you, but if your reason of being in a difficult situation is because you honour God and you won't want to sin against God, God will save you in the days of troubles. This year God wants to manifest Himself in our lives, hence why He is saying we should not seek powers of darkness to fix anything for us, let God fix them all by Himself, we should not try to help Him. May God help us to walk with God closely this year and have the fear of God as we make our decisions. Amen.
