In 1916, on the outskirts of Budapest, authorities uncovered a suburban nightmare. Dozens of metal barrels buried around a quiet home contained the pickled corpses of women – victims of Béla Kiss, a tinsmith who charmed, defrauded, and murdered through newspaper ads. Dubbed the “Monster of Cinkota,” Kiss vanished into the chaos of World War I and was never caught. His trail of blood stretched across Europe and, some say, even to New York. Over a century later, his fate remains a chilling mystery.
