As two nurses submerged in the world of medicine, we have realized that our healthcare system is oftentimes missing the fundamentals of health and wellbeing. In this podcast we aim to share our experience as nurses, and also two human beings striving to be healthy, happy, and the best versions of ourselves. Our goal is to simplify the fundamentals of health and wellbeing and provide individuals with a starting point from which they can grow on their health journey. We hope that through sharing our experience, others may find the courage to start or continue their own journeys.

Optimizing your Female Cycle - using food, exercise, and work to support your natural rhythms rather than working against them

In this episode, we discuss how to optimize your cycle by choosing specific foods, exercises, and work focuses during specific times of the month. We reference the books In the Flo by Alisa Vitti and Fast Like A Girl by Mindy Pelz - both fantastic resources on this topic. When we were younger, we barely received any education on our cycles, let alone the knowledge of how to actually build and customize your life around your body’s natural rhythms. For so long, women have suffered silently, not knowing there is a better way. There truly is a way to WORK SMART NOT HARD. Tune in for more details!

Health vs Wellness - what is the difference?

So we decided to spice things up a bit by sprinkling a little fun in between our episodes this week!

A friend prompted a great topic - what is the difference between health and wellness?

We thought this was a good prompt because oftentimes we feel these words are used interchangeably.

Wellness - "the state of being healthy, especially when you actively try to achieve this"

Nurse Verse
As two nurses submerged in the world of medicine, we have realized that our healthcare system is oftentimes missing the fundamentals of health and wellbeing. In this podcast we aim to share our experience as nurses, and also two human beings striving to be healthy, happy, and the best versions of ourselves. Our goal is to simplify the fundamentals of health and wellbeing and provide individuals with a starting point from which they can grow on their health journey. We hope that through sharing our experience, others may find the courage to start or continue their own journeys.
