Diem goes to warn Henri of what she’s about to do. She feels she owes it to him because of their history. But whatever regard she has for him isn’t reciprocated as he treats her coldly despite being with another woman without first breaking it off with her. 

He also outright lied to her about her missing mother’s whereabouts, choosing other priorities above her. Once her message is out, Diem leaves to confront the villagers who’ve been talking bad about her. She also comes face to face with the bloodthirsty soldiers who want to arrest her. 

It’s a rollercoaster day for our girl.
