As Queen, Diem is the most powerful magic user of Lumnos— Realm of Light and Shadow. Unlike the rest of the Descended in Lumnos, she can also access her full magic on other realms because she’s a Crown.

However, something never heard of is happening to her. First, she burst into flames (and didn’t die) when she entered Ignios, Realm of Sand and Fire. Suddenly, she can use powers exclusive to Descended from Ignios.

Now, Diem crosses into Umbros, Realm of Mind and Secret, with her friends. Ever since they arrived, it’s so noisy but the rest of her friends say it’s not. She finds herself able to telepathically speak to people, see people’s memories, secrets and craft impenetrable mental shields.

Yet she absolutely refuses to intrude on the privacy of the man she loves— although her instincts are screaming at her to— and that might be her greatest mistake.
