Iliass Tanouti is a space systems engineer with a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Manchester and a Master of Science in Interdisciplinary Space Studies from the International Space University (ISU). Recognized as one of the Top 10 Africans under 30 in the space industry in 2020, Tanouti is at the forefront of discussions on how Africa, particularly Morocco, can harness the space industry for socio-economic development. 

This podcast highlights the necessity for clear and structured space policies, the importance of separating civilian and military space activities, and the need for both national and international collaboration. By focusing on technology transfer, building local capacities, and investing in training and infrastructure, Morocco can foster an environment that supports economic growth and innovation, ultimately improving the quality of life for its citizens.
