Giving Long-term Care Residents the Gift of Virtual Connection
Carl Abellana was in his final year of his nursing degree when the COVID-19 pandemic hit. Working part-time at a long-term care home, he took the initiative to help the residents connect with family all over the country using phone and video calls, all on his own devices. It quickly became one of the greatest learning experiences of his nursing education. Hosted by Trish Fagan from Global's NURSES. This episode is in support of The Walking Schoolbus at: www.thewalkingschoolbus.com. An organization committed to promoting education and nutrition for children in India and Uganda.
