Before he even realized what happened, in the next moment, a bag was put over his head and he was dragged off the street into a waiting vehicle. Hours later, Paul, found himself disoriented, in a place he had never been. Meanwhile from a short distance, he could hear his kidnappers on the phone, negotiating with his grandfather, J. Paul Getty Sr. In 1951, over 20 years prior, Getty had been labeled the richest man in the world by Forbes Magazine. Getty had all the money in the world, yet he refused to pay a single cent to rescue his grandson.
