This time we talk all about the moments in between the action; downtime, character one on ones, etc. Normally not looked forward to, but can be just as fun or potent for gameplay. It is a good time to connect to NPCs, backstory characters, in-game families, guilds, or patrons. Do your shopping! shopping can slow down the game at times, so when your party has downtime its the perfect time. Training in a new skill or weapon can be fun, roleplaying can change your characters, physically or psychologically from time apart or time together. Character Oneshots can add depth, and make each character seem personal. Helps to explain the time that a BBEG has to build their forces or a previous town or area to change. And a good opportunity for talking about the campaign direction and where people want to go.
