Islavale manager Mike Ewan joined Grant and Dave on the show this week for another eventful NOSFL weekend. We discuss the Keith-based team's start to the season before going on to chat about the games from the weekend's action.
The Grill League Cup semi finals are set. Hermes and Bridge of Don Thistle have set up a box office showdown with 2-1 wins over Banks o Dee and Culter respectively. Grant and Dave were both at Hermes on Friday night to watch the action and have some post match interviews in what could become a new feature!
Elsewhere, Stonehaven and Dyce won their ties to set up an equally thrilling second semi final. We try to make sense of what we may get from both ties to come.
In league business, the Premiership saw some eye catching scores. Buchanhaven claimed an excellent win at Mike's Islavale (sorry Mike!) while there were also away wins for Ellon United (London buses klaxon) and Rothie Rovers. We also discuss the game of the day where Longside won a 5 goal thriller against Maud in the "Village Derby" which Dave attended (and enjoyed immensely!).
In the Championship, it was equally as entertaining with 30 goals being scored across the weekend and Nairn St Ninian and Glentanar accounted for a third of them alone! We also discuss solid wins for Hall Russell United and Fraserburgh United whilst also marvelling at Burghead's win over Newmachar United and Deveronside winning a 7 goal thriller against Stoneywood Parkvale.
We then look ahead to next week's action as well as ask Mike some short sharp questions at the end.
Also includes our medallists of the week (or Dave making up his own rules!), Remembrance tributes and a continued filling up of grounds Dave and I are banned from! (jokingly we hope! :))
