In our final episode of 2021 we round up our series on the 40th anniversary of the 1981 hunger strikes.
Today we are joined by Bik McFarlane. Born in 1951 in North Belfast, Bik joined the blanket protests in 1981 and during the strikes became OC of the provisional prisoners.
In 1983 Bik was part of the operation which saw 38 prisoners escape from Long Kesh.
