PappyKojo & KoJo Cue Talk Rap Influences, Greatest Footballers, Being Married, Ditching Music To Become a Pastor | No Awam

In this episode of No Awam, T. Sangari and KwakuT sit down with rappers PappyKojo and KoJo Cue. This introspective interview highlights the huge contribution both talented artistes have made with PappyKojo being Ghana’s first rockstar and KoJo Cue rejecting toxic masculinity with his album ‘For My Brothers’. KoJo Cue opens up and shares his story; growing up in the thick slums of Kumasi, he and his cousins stealing money from their aunt’s purse, drinking and having thresomes. He also shares his love for reading, discovering great artistes who have shaped his perception and influenced his music career.

PappyKojo a sworn FIFA fan,  packs heat talking about Football and who the greatest player of all time is. The heated conversation simmers on sensitive subjects such as finding oneself as an artiste, the Ghanaian Music Industry’s measure of success, Medikal’s rap prowess, Being married and dealing with blogs and hurtful publications. PappyKojo insists KoJo Cue is ‘too good for tracks like Mama Ye’.

Later, T. Sangari reflects on his relationship with both artistes as they delve deeper into the subtleties and nuances of great music.
