Altın Madeninde Toprak Kayması

Erzincan'ın İliç ilçesindeki altın madeninde 13 Şubat Salı günü öğleden sonra toprak kayması oldu.

Yaklaşık 10 milyon metreküp toprak saniyede 10 metre hızla kaydı.

Madende çalışan 9 işçi toprak altında kaldı.

1700'den fazla personel, kayıp madencileri kurtarmak için yoğun bir şekilde çalışıyor.

Kurtarma personeli henüz işçilere ulaşamadı.

Olayla ilgili soruşturma başladı.

Bu felaket ile madencilik çalışmalarının güvenliği ve çevresel etkileri konusunda tartışmalar başladı.

Bölgedeki maden mühendisleri, yıllarca güvenlik konusunda uyarılarda bulunduklarını açıkladı.

Maden, 2010'dan beri faaliyet gösteriyor.

Maden şirketi, 2022 yılında siyanür sızıntısı nedeniyle yüksek bir ceza aldı.

Bu nedenle şirket siyanür havuzunun kapasitesini geçen yıl artırdı.

Maden şirketinin yüzde 80'inin sahibi Kanada merkezli SSR Madencilik.

Bu şirketin hisseleri New York ve Toronto borsalarında işlem görüyor.

Şirkettin hisseleri, olayın ardından büyük düşüş yaşadı.

SSR Madencilik’e göre, Erzincan’daki maden 2023 yılında 221 bin ons altın üretimi yaptı.
