Alastair Wiper is an English photographer based in Copenhagen, Denmark. He has developed a bold style shooting work with an industrial, scientific and industrial focus. Alastair joined me for a chat about his relatively late start as a photographer, how he set about finding his focus and style, the atmosphere he seeks to create, and how his approach to finding spaces to shoot led into more commercial ventures. Also his love of David Lynch soundtracks.
To coincide with the release of his latest book, ‘Unintended Beauty’, Alastair had an exhibition at RIBA which fell victim to the lockdown. This will hopefully be extended when possible, but in the meantime you can check out his work at www.alastairphilipwiper.com.
