Luke Cage Season 2 Episode 2 Review Podcast "Straighten It Out" Spoiler filled Synopsis

Directed by Steph Green

Written by Akela Cooper

Luke Cage (Mike Colter) is still standing after his encounter with the Judas-bullet, but whilst he tests the boundaries of his enhanced strength, his would-be assassin Arturo El Rey III () is released from police custody after Misty Knight (Simone Missick) undermines the case being built by her colleagues. As Misty tries to fit back in at the precinct, she finds the going tougher than she thought as not everyone at the N.Y.P.D. is pleased to see her back. Meanwhile both Bushmaster (Mustafa Shakir) and Mariah Dillard (Alfre Woodard) seek to reconnect to distant family to push their own agenda in Harlem. Bushmaster seeks out his brother to restore his powers. Whilst Mariah tries to bring her daughter Tilda Dillard (Gabrielle Dennis) into her political career as she continues to distance herself from her criminal past; but a bullet to head of El Rey by Shades only makes that more difficult. Elsewhere, Luke has family issues of his own. As his dad, James Lucas (Reg E. Cathey), tries to seek reconciliation he is helped by Claire Temple (Rosario Dawson) who tries to persuade Luke to forgive his father. But as Luke refuses to listen to James or Claire, he strains his relationship with Claire to breaking point. As Luke lashes out on the street he risks his reputation as the Hero of Harlem as he vents his frustration on Cockroach (Dorian Missick).
