Episode 83: Interview with Our New Friend Chef Josh Walbolt. The guys get a chance to speak to their new friend Chef Josh Walbot who has been studying culinary arts for 12 years. Just a few of his accolades include worked with culinary Legend Chef Morimoto and opening a restaurant for him. He helped develop a menu and open up a restaurant for a Silver Medal award winner Gavin Keysen first person to gain a silver metal in the culinary Olympics for the American team. Josh is also the winner of the 2019 Charlies Rising Star Chef. Josh mentions his time at the Culinary Institute of America (CIA), moving to various parts of the United States pursuing his cooking dreams, working in Michelin Star restaurants, restaurants rated the best in the world (2017) and entering a Chefs competitions. Josh gives Al an easy dish to make that he can not screw up. The guys learn what the 100 folds of a chefs' toque are said to represent. Josh also talks to us about shooting a Facebook commercial. Stan talks about his time in Taiwan, living in Japan, his life as a freelance illustrator, favorite anime’s, and his love of Transformers G1. Al and Stan talk about the rise and fall of Dreamwave comics. Stan provides some words of wisdom to NerdSpork Illustrator himself, Pickle Vic. Stan talks about his time as a storyboard artist for Double Take, an assistant storyboard artist for commercials as well as some movies. Stan also briefly worked on the upcoming Will Smith Netflix movie Gemini Man. Stan is currently working as an art director for AWA (Artist Writers and Artisans), which will be releasing their new Comic line Upshot Studios in spring of 2020.
