In this episode, double bassist and Ensemble Modern member Paul Cannon speaks with the German YouTube artist and performer Hainbach about the evolution of his YouTube channel – from recording his improvised rehearsals to explaining the instruments he uses. »The stranger, the more absurd, the more people would cheer me on.« Hey also discuss how Hainbach drew inspiration from the composing techniques of Italian composer Giacinto Scelsi for his collaboration with the Ensemble Modern at the Checkpoint concert and the Alte Oper concert. »I let [the instruments] collide.
